How does it work?

Measuring chip Measuring chip Let's have a look at a typical sporting event that uses Accuratic. Race organizer logs in to the portal Acuratic and "sets up" his own sporting event. The route is plotted graphically on the map. The organizer decides about the frequency of racers' data collection and where he wants to place measuring units.Based on his decision he rents the appropriate amount of measuring units and chips. It's quite simple - the unit's battery is charged to work for a sufficiently long period and there aren't any transportation problems. Units for a usual race can be transported by a normal car or a pick - up. Before the race the units are laid along the route. Two simple acts need to be performed to activate the unit. One has to steer the antenna correctly and turn on a single switch. The measuring unit will automatically retrieve its GPS coordinates and establish GPRS connection to the Accuratic server. Now the route is ready for the race. The racers can sign up and register via the Accuratic portal where they will be offered different payment channels to pay for entry fee. At the start of the race the racers obtain usually an envelope containing a start number and a chip. The chip is fixed to racer's equipment. The racer is then ready for the race.

Once the race has started an online presentation can be viewed on the Acuratic portal. The graphical and textual information can be viewed in various presentational windows. The organizer has the possibility to present this information on a large screen on site.

After the race has finished the organizer turns off and collects the measuring units, collects the chips and returns the hardware to our warehouse. Acuratic then pays off the organizer the start fees and issues an invoice for the service provided.

All the data transmitted during the race is stored in our database and is accessible to racers through the web portal at any time. The race can be replayed too. Racers have the possibility to view the data about their performance or the performance of other competitors. These data can be compared and graphically plotted.

The web portal Acuratic is the 'heart' of a service that has the ambition to offer complete support to sporting events organizers and participants. The ambition is to be more than just a sports timing system. The service enhances the possibility of sponsorship presentation. We believe that it will become a social networking portal e.g. cyber space where people with common interests chat and share their experience.
